Damn Handsome was established in 2020 out of Auckland New Zealand by director Dougie Mackie.
The aim of the business was to focus on content direction and post-production while utilising the skills of the network of freelance production professionals globally that have worked with Dougie over the years.
Having met Hayley Warnock in Melbourne in 2018, Dougie was blown away by her consistency and wide range of post-production abilities, professionalism, attention to detail and how she too had the mentality of getting it right the first time, by understanding the brief and delivering results that required low to no changes or amendments. Hayley is one of the best in the business, no question.
Bertrand Remuat was the missing link that Dougie discovered when returning to New Zealand in 2019. 'Berty & Dougie' have one of those unspoken connections on set where they just know what works, they divide and concur in their seperate departments in large productions, and both annihilate any other production team in smaller shoots with their skill, docu-style technique, personality and persistence, presenting creative ingenuity when needed.

Dougie began his career in NZ radio before studying in London to become a seasoned filmmaker who has gained comprehensive experience in marketing audio and video productions globally over the last two decades. Delivering high budget broadcasts and online campaigns across Auckland, London, and Melbourne, working in collaboration with esteemed agencies, iconic brands and some of the biggest names in the business.
Hayley Warnock

In 2016, Hayley earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television from Deakin University. With seven years of professional experience, she excels in video editing for various content types, including branded, training, promotional, events, narrative, documentaries, and stop-motion animation. Beyond her editing work, Hayley is the Founder of Set To Hike, a prominent YouTube channel and content creator in the outdoor domain. Set To Hike serves as a leading platform for hiking enthusiasts in Australasia, offering education and inspiration to fellow adventure seekers.
Bertrand Remaut

Bertrand Remaut is a French / Kiwi director, cinematographer and editor. He studied film in Paris, travelled around the world getting people stories and pictures, and now lives in Auckland, New Zealand capturing for advertising, documentaries and indie films. When he doesn't shoot a film, he is probably writing one.
